We Are At The Gun Range!

We at Knock On Wood head to the gun range for some team bonding and to test out how our beautiful handcrafted wooden sunglasses would do in a less than ideal situation. In a world with many unknowns it is always good to learn and practice useful skills. Learning how to shoot may one day save you or someone's life. Some of our team have never handled a firearm before and so it was time for them to gain new experiences.

Safety is very important to us, so at the gun range all our team members are taught how to safely handle their equipment at the range or at work. Here are ten simple ways we ensure safety at the gun range.

1. Always Keep The Muzzle Pointed In A Safe Direction
2. Firearms Should Be Unloaded When Not Actually In Use
3. Don't Rely On Your Gun's "Safety"
4. Be Sure Of Your Target And What's Beyond It
5. Use Correct Ammunition
6. If Your Gun Fails To Fire When The Trigger Is Pulled, Handle With Care!
7. Always Wear Eye And Ear Protection When Shooting
8. Be Sure The Barrel Is Clear Of Obstructions Before Shooting
9. Don't Alter Or Modify Your Gun, And Have Guns Serviced Regularly
10. Learn The Mechanical And Handling Characteristics Of The Firearm You Are Using

We tested our handmade sunglasses with many different UV400 polarized lenses.
Due to the nature of wooden sunglasses, they are extremely lightweight and promote maximum comfort. Some of fellow shooters at the range can attest to how comfortable they feel even under the ear protection.

The lighter the sunglasses the more comfortable it will be to wear. Not many people realize that our nose is so remarkably sensitive that we will feel every gram that rests on it. Ideally for every situation, whether it is to relax or be in stressful moment, we would want a pair of sunglasses that we can forget we are wearing.

All our handcrafted wooden sunglasses worked exceptionally well against glare and any gas discharge. We concluded that other than personal preference of tint color and style, they will protect your eyes in comfort, whether you are using a pistol or a rifle!

Thank you Sunnyvale Rod and Gun for letting us use the range.
They are located fairly close to San Jose and extremely user and new shooter friendly.
Don't be shy if you are local stop by and say hi to us!

We understand sunglasses are not designed to be safety glasses, so please don't substitute sunglasses as proper safety glasses for your situations!
