Polynesian sunglasses

Wooden tribal sunglasses

We just launched our new polarized sunglasses: Kai Wood and Koa Wood. You can find our new sunglasses in the Aloha Collection or New Arrivals. These sunglasses have a personal meaning and represents more than just fashion.

Our new wooden bamboo sunglasses has a unique logo design inspired by the Polynesian culture. The Hawaiian word Kai means water or ocean and the Hawaiian word Koa means warrior. Although inspired by the Polynesian culture, the new logo design is mainly inspired by Robert's (Knock On Wood founder) father.

His father was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii up until his father's teen years. In addition, his grandmother also owned a lei shop making flower necklaces for locals and tourists. Soon after, his father moved to San Francisco to pursue a better life for himself and his family. Although his father is Chinese, he carries his Hawaiian culture with pride. The new logo design is a symbol of the struggles and hardships Robert's father had to go through to provide for his family.

Wear our Kai Wood or Koa Wood polarized sunglasses to show your struggles to provide for your family and show your respect for the Polynesian culture.

-Robert Lau
