The Legendary AE86
Unbelievable speed and control that will make you sweat just watching! Transitioning from grip to drift and moving through traffic at high speeds.
The AE86 (Hachi-Roku) comes from the chassis code for the Toyota Corolla. What makes this old classic car, the Toyota AE86, special? This car became increasingly popular since 1995 from the Japanese anime, Initial D. Initial D was inspired by the famous Drift King, Keiichi Tsuchiya, who used to race with the AE86 in the mountains. Soon becoming a professional racecar driver. According to Tsuchiya, people knew he would win and they would get bored. To make things exciting, Tsuchiya began drifting around corners much more than other drivers.
Benefits of the AE86
The main attraction for this car is it's lightweight capability, weighing around 2,035–2,400 lbs. The long history of the AE86 inspired Toyota to create the new FRS, BRZ, and GT86.
Would you buy this? Most car enthusiasts and die hard fans of Initial D would buy this in a heart beat. Depending on your needs, this might not be the best car to own. Due to the old school technology and parts, you will most likely spend quite a bit of money to make it perform and look amazing. Overall, who can say no that beautiful pop up headlights.
